They knots they will twist themselves into just to keep from admitting the truth - precious couldn't get into HYPS in today's more competitive environment - are amusing and transparent. Shrug. I just think it's funny when this happens. Particularly when the parents are so pretentious in all other areas of their lives but then try to put on a happy face that their snowflake ended up at JMU or someplace similar. Makes me laugh.[/quote]

And, what are you trying to prove??? That you didn't drive luxury cars or lived in a great neighborhood but hey your kid made it to HYP??? Sorry to burst your bubble, just as more successful parents can only do so much to influence their child's college outcomes, same is true for less successful parents. In the end it's upto the kid and that is half parenting and half innate intelligence of the kid. Stop giggling and patting yourself on the back.[/quote]
