Amber was arrested for assaulting/domestic violence her girlfriend in 2009. Just released...
I saw that. Curiouser and curiouser.
She also had a forensic specialist authenticate the text messages that essentially prove her story. I know Johnny Depp is beloved but she has a lot of pretty hardcore evidence. All he has is his friends saying they could never believe it (and people on his payroll saying it didn't happen that way). And the girlfriend issued a statement saying that incident wasn't as reported and charges were never filed/amber never prosecuted. Although I'm not sure it really matters, she could have had a domestic incident with a girlfriend in the past and still have been beaten up by Depp, not mutually exclusive.
How did "she have" a forensic specialist" authenticate the messages? That's like going to court and hiring your own expert witness. She'd have to have the phone company or some neutral party come out and say the messages are real. Cmon. And for the record, Johnny hasn't been prosecuted of anything, okay, OJ? Just because charges were dropped and nothing was prosecuted doesn't mean it didn't happen - if you want to be technical.
http://www.people.com/article/amber-heard-text-messages-expert-claims-authentic People tends to be pretty reliable. I can't imagine them publishing something without it being legit as their bread and butter is doing celebrity fluff stories and they count on celebrities trusting them to not throw them under the bus unless they're SURE.
Tends to be? Seriously? I could pay any expert enough money to vouch for me and they would... and your computer syncs with your phone regardless if you make changes to texts, it just updates the texts on the computer. She'd have to verify through the phone company and the assistant has already said the texts were fakes and he would testify in court under oath to that. Why lie? This entire case is stupid.
