Who wakes up late and, knowing they have a presentation to prepare for, decides to cook lunch? When I wake up late, I'm figuring out how much of my morning routine I can condense or cut out to save time. OP and her husband just don't seem very bright.
Hate to pile on, but I am curious what ethnicity or from what culture OP is.
She sounds very WASPY to me.
No, based on the reaction to the fried tuna, the given recipe/spices, and the absolute lack of communication between her & her DH... I am thinking there is an ethnicity.
No way on earth would any of my Indian friends eat anything so disgusting! That's like what a clueless white girl does with Indian spices.
AA here. As I read this the first time, I thought, "Fried tuna? Must be a white thing I don't know about." Clearly that is not the case (assuming most other pps are white). I'm going with ethnic, too. Also OP - you and DH obviously have different desires as far as lifestyle. You also don't communicate well in crisis situations. Resolve these two things either by going to therapy/counseling or by working them out thru other means. Parents getting sick, dying, birthing babies, applying kids to school, finding daycare, buying a house, wasp nests in the backyard, dealing with a leaky roof, losing a job, car breaking down/getting towed, water main breaks, the flu, annoying in-laws and handling a toddler having two surgeries under the age of 3 are all examples (ranging in severity/impact) from my relatively young marriage where, had we acted like the two of you, we would have caved to stress and not survived. Get it together and, until you do, please use effective birth control methods.
