God I don't know what I'd do OP. Politics are very important to me and I won't even date someone too far right - I just know upfront it isn't going to work. Did you have any inkling of this before now??
LOL You have bigger problem then instead of politics. Yes that horrible TRUMP! Against illegal immigration, poor economics deals, terrorists, anchor babies, China where all our crap comes from. FYI Trump use to be a democrat.
He might as well still be one. The man is not a conservative. He couldn't give two shits about the Constitution, and has supported just about every plank in the Democrat Party platform until he figured out he could advance his own personal agenda better by pretending to be a Republican. Those of you who are horrified by Trump because you think he is "too far right," have no clue what conservatism is all about. Trump is a narcissist, pure and simple. Trump is about Trump. If he can't get what he wants by pretending to be a Republican, he will run as a third party candidate if he thinks it will get him what he wants.
Here is what you're not getting. Many like and are voting for him because he probably is less about party. Yes his goals are to try and make this country what it should be. MOST politicians are narcissists btw, geese look at Hillary and Bill. People don't care about those things if he can achieve his goals. He's actually the only good candidate on both sides. If he's elected we'll see if he can pull it off.
Oh, I get why people like him. The system is broken and people are sick of the two parties. I'm not about party, either, but I am about basic principles of liberty and limited government as originally intended under the Constitutional republican model. Unfortunately, most of those who support Trump don't get that he's a lying sack of crap. His schtick is that he's an outsider who won't do business as usual as it is done today in DC. Winning! Huge! Fantastic! Unfortunately, his greatest talent (besides selling himself) is supposedly his ability to make deals. Well, now, how do you think we got to be in the mess we're in now? The thing is, Trump, who has no foundation in basic Constitutional principles will happily trade away whatever it takes to make a deal. I believe he would govern with even less regard for the law than Obama. And that's saying something.
+1000 Please tell me there is a chance that Kasich could win!
