I.dont know if tho was or was not a hate crime. I.do know there's far.more.tolerance here than in the Muslim world ( which now Turkey seems hidebound to join) and Muslims here can live their lives with ease and tolerance, with rare exceptions. The one exception I imagine is the burka / headscarfs - which probably elicits more stares than if u were wearing it in a country where many people.are. But to me this is the equivalent of being really tall. Just human nature to look.

I hope they get the the bottom.of this terrible crime. Also all the other terrible crimes. While our daily lives are easier we have our fair share of loser/freaks and I wish we had better mental health care to intervene before they lash out.
