Yes. Even if a fetus is equivalent to a baby, it's okay to kill them.   Every pregnancy and delivery poses a serious risk of harm to the pregnant woman. That risk includes the possibility of death. For women of child-bearing age, complications of pregnancy are one of the top ten causes of death. The fetus/baby poses a risk of harm to the woman carrying it.  She has the right to defend her body and her life against another person.  She is legally and ethically justified in killing a person who poses a risk of serious bodily harm or death to her, if she does not wish to assume that risk.

I read somewhere that the Vikings who went to Valhalla were warriors who died in battle and women who died in childbirth.  A mother was the same as a warrior to them. As for us, we don't draft men into the army. We shouldn't draft women into motherhood.  Motherhood has to be an all volunteer army.[/quote]
