I just got back from my weekly grocery trip at the Giant in Potomac Yard. A bag of Stacy's pita chips was $11. Conventional Giant brand baby carrots were $3. Radishes were $3 a bunch. A case of garbage domestic lager (Coors, Miller) is THIRTY DOLLARS. I lived on $30 a week in college in the late 90s. Two years ago, the chips were $6, and the carrots and radishes were routinely $0.99. What the hell is actually going on? Where is the money going?
I make my own pita/nacho chips. I also buy veggies that does not get overly sprayed with pesticides from Asian grocery stores. So all root veggies are sourced from Asian grocery stores. I but the carrots and radishes, scrub and wash them, air dry them and then cut it into sizes and shapes that I want. BTW - baby carrots are a fraud and a nothing burger. It is full grown carrots shaved into these tiny shapes. Stop drinking alcohol. Instead brew your own kombucha. Also...Trump is the result of America's collective bad Karma sent to kick our collective backsides. His boots are still not buried deep in the aaaaaahhh-nus still. So that's the hell that is actually going on. Yer welcome. :)
What would make you think that Asian grocery stores don’t use pesticide? That seems backwards. China is not exactly known for food safety.
