For the kid who wants ND and rejected, BC is usually the second choice. GU doesn't hold a candle to BC in terms of school spirit or campus experience. BC has many more traditions that students love. My kid went to the accepted student event this year and when a student panel members were asked about favorite traditions, the best they came up with was a birthday celebration in a bar.  And nobody can argue that BC has a much more beautiful and pristine campus than Georgetown. My kid chose BC over GU and there are many others that do.

That all said, depending on major, GU would definitely be the first choice for students interested in government related majors. That's really a no brainer.[/quote]

Something I’ve noticed is that this mom whose kid chose BC over Georgetown constantly talks our ears off about it. She brings it up at every opportunity. Meanwhile people who chose Georgetown over BC never have to bring it up because it’s the norm.

That's interesting. If anything PP seems overconfident to me. People choosing Georgetown over BC IS the norm. I don't think she argues that, which is probably why she even brings it up. Signed another parent whose kid chose BC.
