I agree. I think there’s an inverse relationship between comfort and cuteness.

Keens are amazing shoes though. Very functional.  I have a closed toe sandal that most people find strange and ugly, but this one shoe works for water sports, hiking, and sightseeing if you have a lot of black in your wardrobe and are into Japanese minimalism. They won’t go with Tuckernuck dresses etc…

I can see the vibe.  20 years ago I had really similar ones made by Teva that were maybe a little more streamlined but they were the most comfortable, least sweaty summer shoe I ever wore.  I could even wear them to work (I walk 3 miles on my commute so really need comfy shoes).  When they discontinued them. I wished I had bought a case of them like a crazy lady.  [/quote]
