You don’t vaccinate for polio? Do you know what polio does? Do you know that it’s far from eradicated?

My elementary school principle had polio as a child and used leg braces to walk the rest of her life. I was an elementary schooler in the late 1980s and it made a tremendous impression on all of us. [/quote]

I was born in 1979 and a classmate of mine contracted polio as a toddler and also has leg braces/a wheelchair. This was in a UMC community as well. [/quote]
