[/quote] This. I often see comparisons between the federal workforce and the overall US workforce, which is absurd. Most fed jobs require college degrees and very many require advanced degrees. We should be comparing to a basket of private companies like legal/medical corporations, financial/accounting firms, aerospace companies, etc. Federal benefits don’t look exceptional in that comparison.
