No.  She's good.  And her fans love her.  Every artist has a "less good" album now and then.  The thing is, what she's exceptional at is not just song writing it's creating a para-social connection with fans, marketing, and consistency.  She doesn't disappear for a decade like some artists and then expect to return to the same adoring horde they had before going off into the woods or whatever.

Yeah, I mean it’s her 12th album. I personally think it’s going to grow on me in the coming days, but if it doesn’t do as well… I mean, she has nothing to prove at this point.

And I do like how she changes up both her music and just whole vibe. she went for years not promoting albums in the traditional way (don’t come at me, I know she markets all her albums, I’m just talking about she doesn’t use the traditional venues like talk shows). And now she seems more settled and happy and wants to come out and do more interviews and traditional media which I’m digging.

I truly think Travis is going to retire after this season and she’s already said she’s not touring the album. I think for those who hate her, you are going enter a time when you really don’t hear from her for a couple of years. I think this is sort of the last hurrah for her and she’s going out on her own terms.

(I do think she’ll put out more music and tour in the coming years, I just think she knows it will never be like the lightning in the bottle Eras time again).[/quote]
