Last week I was coming back late from BWI on that empty road from Airport to 95. Dead empty. I am driving a full size GMC SUV all three lanes empty. I am in right lane. I slow as exit coming up and had right indicator on. I heard honking from behind, I look left, I look right, I look behind me and no one, I then try to go over again and I get honked at see a bit of a glare in rear window. I say to kid, lets just go straight I dont know what is going on. I then see a tiny car that was like one foot off bumper appear out of nowhere and exit off to right. Dude, your car is so small, and you so close to me you did not appear in my rear view mirror, or side view mirrors.
One of those...say no more...
Left over from when kids little. It’s 13 years old. Still around as still doing drop up and picks college and use it in trips. But even less reason to tailgate me. And that’s the second time it happened. I literally can’t see small cars tailgating very close. They disappear
So you can't see cars that are close to you while you are driving. That's scary. They should pull your license.
+infinity It's scary how many bad drivers there are, driving cars they can't handle.
There are lots of bad drivers, lots of new drivers, lots of distracted drivers. Also lots of angry drivers, tailgating away. All of the above are problematic. Take a deep breath, accept reality, do your part to make the roads safer for pedestrians and cars. Don’t tailgate.
And follow a few other rules that I learned way back when: 1. Be predictable. Don't slow down if you're lost or confused. Stay steady and look for the next turn. 2. Don't hover in blind spots. Come ON. You all should have learned this. 3. CHECK your blind spots. 4. Observe and remember. In driver class my instructor would ask us randomly, without checking the mirrors, who is around us. I always knew and still know to this day if there's someone behind me, or a line of cars or who is where. I am scanning constantly. FFS if you don't do these give up your license.
