Nick just left a lot of destruction in his wake. I doubt the baby will be financially supported. Ginny was probably newly pregnant, so I'm sure his will wasn't updated. If I were Anne, I wouldn't be interested in supporting the baby. I'd rather the money saved during the life we built go to my own children. Also, the DCUM trope plays out in this series. There aren't a lot of good choices for single women after 30 lol.
Maybe, but I thought they did a good job of showing trade-offs that both Jenny and Nick had to make. Older men want a young fertile woman, but the problem with young fertile women is that, they are young and fertile. sooner or later they’re probably going to want a baby. Especially the ones who are willing to put up with the stepdaughter and ex-wife and go on family weekends. It seems like Jenny had a baby and family on the brain. The ones that don’t want babies tend to couple up with people their own age and become DINKS. And not have to deal with the baggage of the ex and step kids. It's Ginny not Jenny, as you could have easily seen in countless posts, including the one you just replied to. Nick played stupid games and won stupid prizes. The daughter telling him that Jenny was Mom in a younger body was spot on. He was going to run into the same issues within a year. That’s why I think that relationship was particularly unrealistic because Jenny seemed too smart for that. Most women as smart and together as she was could see Nick for what he is, which is going through a phase or never willing to grow up and never able to be happy.
