She was a dental hygienist and most dental hygienists I know are not flighty, nor are they in fluid relationships. Maybe that's why the writers picked that as her career.

*How they cast Lila was odd. If you know hedge fund managers children, they are not like her. I'm guessing they were showing that she was more a product of being raised by Anne.

*I liked Anne, but she is not a hedge fund wife either, lol. I think they purposely made her frumpy looking with her clothing and hairstyle.

*I'm a Tina Fey fan, so I naturally liked Kate. Her relationship with her husband was fine. I'm guessing like a post before that she is some kind of lawyer or CFO or something of that nature.

*I liked Danny. I like the scenes where he was one on one with the other characters.

*They could have cast Kate's husband differently. I like Will Forte and he was probably cast because of SNL and 30 Rock, but they didn't have a lot of romantic chemistry. Maybe someone like Paul Rudd or Zach Galifianakis. I'm just spitballing people who can play likeable goofballs pretty well.

*I agree that Tina Fey and Steve Carrell are aging pretty well.

*As a 50 something person, it was nice to see a Gen X series that wasn't just about the kids.[/quote]
