Neither had any tutoring for school subjects. I think I spent less than $950 per child for one week of SHSAT prep when they were in 8th grade and that was simply because it was the last week of the summer and there were no day camp options except Chelsea Piers which was more expensive. One of the kids scored 1570 on the SAT on their first (and last) SAT test and the only prep we did was a single College Board sample test. While I would agree there are kids there who are cram schooled, it's not always the case. Entry into the schools is by SHSAT test score only. Address can be anywhere within the 5 boroughs of NYC.[/quote]
