Democrats are so smug and self-righteous that they don't even understand their own policy platform. During the election, many Democrats told me that they didn't know a single Democrat who wasn't in favor of strong borders. Huh. They must never have heard of the Biden administration or the sanctuary city mayors. Dems keep insisting that they don't care about trans athletes, that it's an unimportant issue. Well, 100% of Senate Dems just voted to keep male athletes on girls' sports teams. The platform is unpopular with voters. That's why Dems lost. Sure, Kamala is not that likeable, but then again neither is Trump. Look at the policies!
Do a little bit of Googling, bro. Biden deported more illegals during his 4 years than Trump did in 2016-2020. Here, I'll help you: https://www.newsweek.com/immigrant-deportations-removals-trump-biden-obama-compared-chart-2026835 and https://ohss.dhs.gov/topics/immigration/immigration-enforcement/immigration-enforcement-and-legal-processes-monthly and https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-set-broaden-arrests-deportation-routes-expand-immigration-crackdown-2025-02-21/ Trump's highest month of deportations was July 2020 with 91,120 Biden's highest month of deportations was March 2022 with 147,080
No offense, but you're completely out to lunch. The electorate wants closed borders. The electorate wants mass deportations. And NO-ONE other than hyperpolitical hyperpartisan upper middle class striver Democrats believes the ridiculous talking points that "Ackshually, it's the Democrats who are tougher on immigration." Democrats keep confusing their MOST extreme partisan marketing messages with "the news." But the voters obviously aren't buying it. Biden spent his first month in office issuing Executive Orders to undo Trump's border control and open up the border (to fight racism? or express disapproval of Trump? or serve the bipartisan donor class that wants wages suppressed?) And then the Biden administration waved in millions of third-world immigrants, mostly military-aged males. They let them cross the border, they released them with court dates years in the future, Democratic-run city and state governments refused to share criminal data with ICE, Biden brought tens of thousands of Haitians into small towns in Ohio where they started crashing cars everywhere, and on and on and on. The illustrious "border bill" was horrible. It had a poison pill in it--amnesty for illegals already here. Republican voters didn't want that, so their Reps were right not to pass it. It also allowed for 3000 or so illegals to cross the border per day...that's a million a year. AND the Dems introduced it in the FOURTH year of the administration as a hypocritical and cynical attempt to trick the voters. It didn't work. The fact is that even most Democratic voters think Republicans are much tougher on illegal immigration than Democrats are. Ask the illegal immigrants in your life if they are more scared of deportation now or under Biden. Ask them if their friends from Central America are planning to cross the border and come here any time soon. If you want to argue with the voters and tell them they are mistaken, you better not be lying to them. They don't like that and they don't forget it.
