Don’t be fooled people. [/quote] This seems like a glaring omission in the FAQ. If there is a RIF between now and Sept 30 and your position is impacted, are you exempt if you take this deal? Or can they expedite your end date to effective immediately without having to deal with severance. There’s verbiage around how the employee can choose a date earlier than Sept 30 to terminate their employment, but nothing about whether their agency or OPM can accept their resignation at an earlier date.
