I, for one, am tired of the divisive rhetoric and negativity of the past few months on media (of all types). Let’s now put all that behind us and work together, as one nation, to make America a better place; a place our children and grandchildren will be even more proud to call home. Who’s with me?
We have a president who has no interest in what is best for America, or in making it a better place. This is a time for resistance, not naivete.
+1. A lot of posters on this board come across as rather naïve. Remember when Trump lost, he instigated an insurrection during which people were killed. And yet you now want me to hug, hold hands and sing Kumbaya with you after you voted him in, again?! I will neither forget, nor forgive. This is my children’s future you are f’ing up. And my planet’s. May a hurricane or a pregnant teen daughter or a job loss show you what you just voted against and what happens when the social networks you so despise are pulled from under your feet. That is my wish, not unity with bigots, egotists and dummies.
So what exactly do you propose doing - start a civil war? The people voted - a majority popular vote decided to back Republican right-leaning political policies and values. I'm sorry you don't agree with them. But aside from starting a civil war, the only only actual path forward is for you to focus on putting forth a viable Dem nominee in 2028. This is what a democracy is. But as someone who voted for Harris as an anti-Trumper (but still in favor of more Republican right-leaning political policies and values), if the Dems don't do some soul searching and put forth a more moderate candidate in 2028 I'll likely vote blue as I'm sure Trump won't be a candidate.
^meant to say likely vote red.
