I love the way natural born citizens who have firmly embraced western values are called white supremacists when simply pointing out that *some* (ahem, let’s be real…it’s a growing number and rather scary when they congregate in the streets to protest Israel in support of Hamas) Muslim extremist newcomers aren’t assimilating and instead seem hell bent on things like: death to western values, relegating women to second class citizens, no tolerance for the lgbtq community…or anyone who isn’t *just like them* (meaning looks like them and embraces the same brand of religious extremism). Put another way: The citizens are being criticized for not tolerating the newcomers who clearly don’t tolerate the local community and societal norms. ^^^ That’s a powder keg ready to explode.
Well put.👍 If they come to the UK for a better life that they had in their home country, better assimilate and be part of the UK culture. Don’t bring your baggage with you for your crappy country that you had to flee from and recreate the same problems in the UK…..
Agree with this.
The UK has one of the most rigid class systems. They will never assimilate! It isn’t America.
No. But they did openly try multiculturalism the last few decades and had a myriad of serious problems.
America doesn't have a class system? Where have you been? We started a class system with slavery and with every minority group entering the US. Discrimination can be overt and covert, with covert measures being the most insidious. Poverty intersecting oftentimes with race is the caste system. We are a huge nation of factions. Who's assimilating here when we suddenly love to label everyone down to the pronoun. You need to redefine your definition of class system.
