What happens if 100,000 people all want to be President of the US; only that will make them happy? Or a person wants to be able to fly to be happy? Or people want to be animals, let’s say people want to be dogs or horses or tigers? you are going to turn them into the animal? It will make them happy?
So everyone can’t get their way is what you are saying. And so God in your view picks and chooses who to help? And sometimes lets pediatric cancer patients die. Which is why many of us say “that’s not a god worth following”.
I have never seen a post asking anyone to change their beliefs about religion here. Perhaps there have been posts in the history of this forum asking people to believe in a religion or a God, but I haven’t seen them. Nobody cares that you don’t believe in God. Nobody is asking you to change your opinion about being religious or not being religious. It’s completely up to each person to decide what they believe and how they choose to live their lives. I respect your opinion and non-belief , and you should respect the opinions and beliefs of everyone posting here. If someone was attacking you for your disbelief or mocking your opinions, I could see why you would want to defend your right to choose your disbelief. But no one cares. No one wants to convince you of anything. People who don’t believe in God don’t believe in God. People who believe in God (whatever God or religion that makes sense to them, comforts them, etc) believe in God. How is that something that must be debated? It’s simple. People have different views and beliefs. It will always be that way and the best thing to do is respect each person.
