[/quote] You may be missing the point here. The more recent "white immigrants" faced their own discrimination for many decades, whether religious based (Catholic) or nationality (Irish, Italians). One might argue that they tend to be less sympathetic to racism faced by African Americans or Hispanic Americans. Several Justices fit this mold perfectly. [/quote]
