Designer bags that cost 5 figures and require the buyer to jump through hoops to buy.
Haha. I love my bags but I don’t get the hype around watches.
Really? There's zero difference. A bag holds crap. You can pay $15 for one, or $15,000. If you choose to pay $15K, you're a moron. A watch tells time. You can pay $15 for one (or zero, and use your phone like the rest of us), or $150,000. If you choose to pay $150K, you're a moron. No difference.
Or you could do middle of the road. I have a $200 leather bag. I have had it for five years and it looks great. It zips at the top so no one can steal my stuff. I will keep it until it isn’t secure. I also have an $800 Apple dive watch. It tells time…and serves as a phone when I am out and about, emergency alarm if I fall off my horse, and keeps me safe when I am 100 feet deep in the ocean. I will keep this too until it doesn’t do the desired things. Honestly, it is comparable to get the Apple Watch as to buy a decent dive computer + basic watch. And safety is worth a lot.
I didn't know that Apple watches work as dive computers! Thanks for that info!!
Only certain new models do. But the function is fabulous! There is an app that is $4.99/month I just use when I am on a trip. (Oceanic+) The best part is that the Apple dive watch vibrates instead of dings like most dive computers. You know it is yours, whereas sound isn’t directional under water. You don’t get confused by other diver’s dive notifications. Even without the app you can tell your depth/time etc. if you feel like memorizing dive tables or are just going on shallow dives. Certain places, or if diving with my kids, I know I am not going into deco no matter what because we aren’t going below 40 ft. It’s impossible to need deco time before my air gets low. Highly recommend.
