What’s the common denominator here? Failure of McLean leadership and the board’s not holding the leaders accountable even after secret meetings. Players and families are the victims, leaders continue to enrich themselves, and nothing changes.
No, players and families have choices to take their player and money elsewhere. No one is forcing anyone to agree with their business decision to merge and to stay and pay dues. Don’t like your options, take your money elsewhere.
Well, all of these mergers and partnerships, etc. are making for some very exciting times for my rising senior who's currently being recruited for soccer. The unknowns for the futures of all of these clubs is unsettling. Sure we have a choice to move, but with six+ local clubs (FCV, BRAVE, GFR, Union, DMVFC, Revolution & SYC...) all in some type of transition what options do you go with? The devil you know, or some other option that we don't - especially with only one more year to go? It's clearly not in the best interest of players, but to blame McLean's leadership and BOD is short sighted since you can say the same thing about pretty much every other soccer club is this area. :?
