But it's still not enough to pay for $80k/per yer per child. So, my kid is at a state flagship. We saved enough for that. The date based 529 funds didn't grow that much - 3 to 4% maybe. I learned that the hard way, so I pulled some of the funds out and into an equity fund. Those are doing better, but it's dependent on the stock market.[/quote]
