Been married forever, and my ILs know pretty much nothing about me or my family, because they are so in their own heads. [/quote] Same. And it's worse because they make up wildly inaccurate things about us to fill in their lack of knowledge. We hear from dh's friends who live near them the crazy things they say. My mom does the same.
