The areas around the Cleveland Park, Van Ness, and Tenleytown stations are unsafe after dark.   Occasional police presence helps, but otherwise there is frequent open marijuana use, loitering, and aggressive pan handling.  How did we let this happen so fast?[/quote]

Well, for one thing we ignored the housing voucher changes on Ct. Ave
We also ignored the riots that broke windows and showed a total lack of support to businesses
We decriminalized marijuana which has made the whole city seedy
We censured the police in a variety of ways in 2019
Weve convicted police for low speed 'chases'--that kid on the scooter. making it the fault of police, not the citizen who doesn't stop.
