PP who applied for several FCPS admin type jobs that closed 8/15. I’ve heard nothing. Even more jobs opened since then so applying for these as well. Feel like experimenting and applying for custodial and IA jobs just to see if I get a response.
A school-based person who was in the process to possibly get a central office job was told that pretty much all hiring that’s not directly instructional is on the back burner right now.
*** I'm a PP who posted about working with HR for five weeks and nothing yet. I'm going into a school front office position and last Friday I came to the mindset on my own that teachers will come first in the hierarchy of hiring. I'm back to my original thought process that I won't be starting until after Labor Day. At least that takes some of the anxiety off me. On another thread regarding substitutes someone quoted like 200 openings in the County for unfilled positions looking for subs right now. Hopefully the admin positions won't have to wait until those openings are filled before we are hired!
