Those days are over.[/quote] Aldi uses the same model they use in Germany/Austria - in all grocery stores in Germany/Austria, not just cheaper ones - customers are expected to bag their own groceries and there's an area with counter space to do so after you go through the checkout if you can't get everything in the bags at the checkout.
