Chris Pratt has slightly above average looks for the general population, significantly below average looks for Hollywood. However, when he made the jump to action star, he got the trainer and the nutritionist (and likely took steroids, they almost all do it, it's the only way to get ripped on the timelines they do it), likely had some work done on his jaw line (definitely some fillers but likely also surgery to address his slight double chin and tighten the whole area up to give him a leading man jaw), and does all the regular Botox/fillers that most people in Hollywood do. It's been a light touch and they are careful not to mess with his eyes, which are his best feature. But his body and the lower half of his face are the result of money, and help from drugs and procedures. Basically he got lucky with Parks & Rec and it set him up financially (regular on network sitcom that reaches syndication has been a gold mine for years). He used that money and his visibility from P&R to change his appearance to get Jurassic Park and Guardians. Now he has lots more money and can maintain that body and face. But he was pretty average looking before this all happened (especially with all the extra weight he used to carry, and it would not have aged well at all) and while he has charisma/it factor, he also got lucky, everyone who lands a sitcom like P&R is lucky. You can be phenomenally talented and look great and do 100 pilots and none of them have that success, it's a very common story in LA. Sorry, but I know a lot of men who are naturally better looking than Pratt even without access to all the interventions. He's just okay. His personality seems a little off, too, and I have questions about what happened with him and Faris.
