I think what people mean when they says it's tacky is that it's the jewelry equivalent of the LV Neverfull. At one point in time it was somewhat unique and a status piece. Now it's [b]everywhere [/b]and it's no longer a status symbol. [/quote]

Do you live in the DC area? Then you live in an affluent area. For example - my kids go to a Title I school, but one of my neighbors lives in a $2 Million new build and wears one of these. Most of the houses on our street are pretty shitty, frankly. I wouldn't describe it as an affluent area, LOL![/quote]
