I respect you for telling it like it is. I disagree with this approach completely, but it's refreshing to hear someone admit that they voted for [insert any political hack] for school board just because they were endorsed by the Democrats ... out of "sheer Trump hatred."

This is why we left FCPS and now laugh at what a disaster it's becoming. When you let your irrational political feelings dictate who runs your $3B+ school district that's supposed to be focused on education and not politics, you get ... well, you get FCPS.

+1.  Despite all the talk about "voting them out," I predict the exact same outcome in 2023:  Solid Democratic-endorsed school board again, with a whole new cast of loony characters.  You get what you vote for when blindly voting the party line.   I also left FCPS, too.  [/quote]

I think you have to appeal to people's better instincts and let them learn from their mistakes.

Your fatalism may work out for you now that you're sending your kid to O'Connell or whatever, but others won't be so lucky if we get another round of idiots and hypocrites like Frisch, Tholen, Cohen, Omeish, Meren, etc. [/quote]
