He is the criminal. It’s time to stop listening to FOX propaganda
So charging people makes them a criminal. I guess we can skip the trial then too.
Yep. Because he’s conservative. If he was liberal PP would be singing a different tune.
There are many circumstances that would have you singing a different tune. Stop being so dishonest. This man killed a teen. But people like you think they deserved it because they had a drink.
Or because they attacked him first and shoved him into the River multiple times as a group
Did they now? That's not what all the reports say. But again, it's not for us to decide. He'll have his day in court and we'll see how it goes. I'm sure he'd appreciate your support in his defense. He's going to need it.
Pretty much all reports including the video show a dude in a yellow swimsuit shoving him into the river twice
NP. Tell it to the judge. A few shoves, with ample time to leave = stabbing murderous rage. Got it.
Yeah when 20 men around age 20 surround you and start shoving you into a body of water, let me know how you react
+1 I cannot stand all the Monday morning quarterbacks on DCUM. I would have walked away! I would have intervened! I would have called for help! I would have done it way better no matter the circumstance! It’s infuriating. You have NO CLUE what you would have done unless you were in that exact same circumstance.
But we don't refuse to prosecute killers simply because I don't know what I would have done in their shoes.
It's not very encouraging to realize that if i were to feel threatened by a large group of drunk men and women who shove and taunt me that I'm expected to think clearly, not be afraid, and do them no harm.
He thought clearly enough to walk away from them the first time, and then he came back for more. He couldn’t have been that afraid or intimidated, yeah? The prosecution will have a field day with that fact.
Don't misunderstand...I abhor what he did, don't own a gun, and can't imagine hurting any person or animal. I also think the large group of drunk tubers should have left the weird old guy alone. Taunting him, accusing him of things of which they had no proof, and pushing him into the water could frighten anyone.
Don’t misunderstand: I thought they were acting like arseholes. But let’s start with he approached them first. Then let’s continue with if he had simply asked them if they had the phone/saw the phone and they said no, he could have walked away rather than get close to them and snorkel around them. Asking about a phone is not creepy: not accepting “we don’t have it and we have not seen it” as an answer and getting close enough to touch their tubes and snorkel around them *IS* creepy, and aggressive, especially when some of the tubers were young women. Eyewitnesses who were not even in the fist tubing party say that the first person to get physically violent was this guy, who slapped a woman who was trying to stick up for the first group. This guy then got away from them, AND CAME BACK FOR MORE CONFRONTATION, which clearly shows he couldn’t have felt in danger or attacked, because he chose to re-engage with them. He didn’t just land a few stabs to defend himself: he gutted them like fish, with their internal organs visible and intestines hanging out of bodies. And then he fled the scene. This guy is a murderer and he’s going to be convicted and sentenced as such. All facts and evidence—including the aggressive and rude behavior of the young people—will be taken into consideration. But at the end of the day, he’s going to jail, hopefully for a very long time.
From the Daily Beast article:
As he “grabbed onto” the supposed culprit, Miu said two members of the group pulled knives on him. He claimed he then took one of the knives away and turned it back on the group, contrary to evidence from both his wife and the bystander footage.
If Miu knowingly and deliberately lied to police about the knife, that is a big problem for him. The jury will not believe any part of his story once this has been established. I predict he will plead guilty rather than go to trial.
