Good, very good. The party loves him b/c he brings in tons of $$, his district is Asheville but also MAGA outside the city. He might get primaried but doubt anyone can match his funding/reach. Says a lot about Americans, much not nice.[/quote]

Didn't he get redistricted? My mom is in his current district outside of Asheville and she's been saying for a while he won't be her representative anymore because they redid the boundary maps. [/quote]

The western NC district was a classic swing district going back and forth through the 1980s. Then Republican Charles Taylor held it for more than a decade while he invested in Russian banks and helped Russians launder their money in NC banks. Taylor was finally defeated by Blue Dog ex-QB Heath Shuler, who became so popular he even survived the 2010 Tea Party wave, but then the Republicans gerrymandered the district to take most of blue Asheville out of it. That enabled Mark Meadows to win it. When Meadows resigned to be Trump COS, he and his wife favored Lynda Bennett, but she lost to Cawthorn. That might be when Debra rented the trailer hideout, so she could help raise money for Bennett without everyone in the GOP knowing about it. It’s a dysfunctional district now. [/quote]
