some people got hurt during the clearning of Ottawa protests, and the scary part is that they are apparently going after the private citizens who donated small amount to the protest cause and freezing their personal bank accounts. Let me get this straight. The truckers illegally blocked cross-border highways to protest stupid stuff. The Canadian government tolerated it for weeks and asked them repeatedly to move on. The truckers did not move on, and instead continued to illegally block shipping to both the US and Canada. So finally the Canadian government came to clear them out, after giving them every opportunity to leave. And since the traffic blockade is illegal, the government froze the funding to that illegal traffic blockade. ...And that's "truly scary?" Is that tyranny? Or is it totally predictable and did you just not get the outcome you wanted?

1) this isn't "stupid stuff", it's very important to many many people around the world to maintain their bodily autonomy.  Are you sure you are pro-choice? CDC acknowledged that vaccines do not stop transmission back in August 2021 and yet the vaxxports and employer mandates started to roll out shortly AFTER this announcement.  Science much?   Vaccine trials didn't include Covid recovered and yet these shots are mandated for them to keep their jobs and continue attending college classes.  Even boosters are pushed on young low risk students who were already double vaxed and even recovered from Covid on top of this. Science?

2) It was easy to just let people have a choice over their bodies, these weren't your insurrectionists trying to overthrow elections or anything like this.  These are the people who want to maintain their bodily autonomy and not be forced to take medical interventions they do not want, and that do nothing to stop this pandemic in any way.  Yet Trudeau decided to be stubborn about it, because optics.. or whatever, you tell me.  And just like DC Ottawa certainly has its other streets making it impossible to blocade it, someone made a comment here about how DC has all these ways to avoid the beltway.
