His ex’s reaction leads me to believe he started screwing around, got caught, blamed the addiction and went to rehab promising to change and fix the marriage, etc. but blindsided her by shacking up with Olivia.

His ex’s reactions over social media before/as he entered rehab smack of “scorned woman.”

He didn't go to rehab because of the affair. He had (has?) a raging coke addiction. They had to stage an intervention for him, ffs.
