So now that they are "investigating" Richie, they go out and hire Ason Dorrance to be an advisor. Does nobody at the Spirit have google or is this just the kind of people they want to hire? https://www.socceramerica.com/publications/article/25238/dorrance-suit-ends-with-settlement-and-apology.html
and now Lindsay Barenz is out as director of business operations--did she leave because of the gross incompetence or get pushed out for speaking out?
Dorrance is an advisor only. Whatever happened in the past is from 1998. Do people not deserve second chances? He is now quite religious. Watch/listen to Heath, Averbuch, Klingenberg, Dunn and others speak about him and you will see he is perfect for the job. Lindsay is the BUSINESS head of the operation. She previously excelled at brand sponsorships with the NWSL. She remains a fan of the Spirit. She joined the board of directors with DC Scores (look them up if you don't know them). One of the new organizing investors with the WS is also on that board - so there is no drudgery between her and the team. It's a mutual sep that helps the Spirit save salary in the Front Office and she can pursue other interests that will be guaranteed long term vs. the on again off again tenure of soccer (she has not had a job of more than 2 years in her last 3 soccer gigs).
