I may be paranoid and tainted from the last 1.5 years in APS. But with the rise in cases in Arlington, I'm definitely getting nervous Duran will shift to remote. Especially given the amount of funding he invested in the DL program. This could be a great way to justify his spending. I could use some reassurance here - can anyone in APS enlighten me?
In Arlington County, hospitalizations are down, ICU use is down and no one has died from COVID since June 30; only two deaths since June 7. Stop freaking out.
+1 This is not FL or TX where they are running out of ICU beds.
+1 Our high vaccination rate will keep severe cases down. APS won’t go virtual because it’s against the law but there will likely be many kids quarantined. Which is maybe worse than concurrent...
The good news is if you're vaccinated you don't have to quarantine (this is per the update APS site). Last night, wtop reported that EUA for Pfizer 5-11 yr old will be approved in the next few WEEKS! Things are going to be better than expected for many.
Still won't be ready until late Nov. at the earliest.
