St Albans is a very good team and play very hard. Coach Heeter has turned St Albans into a competitive team in the IAC. They played SSSA in 2 close games and played one good half against Bullis. The future for STA is bright. Stop with the bashing of these teams. The IAC from top to bottom is outstanding, the top teams are loaded with talent and the next tier of teams are also very good. If a team does not come to play at a high level you can expect to take a L. Enjoy the games. Hopefully more fans will be allowed soon.
I am really sorry, but this is the delusional post of the day or maybe the week. I have no doubt the STA players work and try hard (just like every other team in the IAC), but "a very good team" and "a competitive team in the IAC" they most definitely are not. They are at the bottom of the IAC and have been for years. A handful of decent players does not make for a successful IAC team. That takes a lot more than a handful and those players have to be excellent. STA has one senior college commit. In comparison, Prep has 13. In the class of 2023 (STA's strongest) they hope to have 4 or 5 commits by senior year, Prep will likely have 10-15. It's comparing apples to oranges or varsity to JV. The IAC is one of the top leagues in the country, but not all teams are the same or "outstanding" as you claim. And yes, of course, if you don't come to play at a high level you will "take a L", but not all teams in the IAC are capable of playing at certain levels. The 12-0 score at half time and the 18-4 final score of the Bullis vs STA game should have driven that point home. Appreciate the fact that the boys get to play the sport they love and hopefully have some fun, but don't kid yourself into thinking they are the same caliber of team.
So PP said great things about IAC as well as STA making improvements to be more competitive - NOT DOMINANT you ninny. STA had 2 close games with SSSAS who traded wins against Landon last weekend. But to make you happy: Prep and Bullis are so crazy amazing, so much better than every team at each position, depth, coaching that they should really have their own special division where they play each other every week going forward. Just each other going forward. Meanwhile, no talk about any BRAIN-IAC team's play as that would question this paradigm.
You need to get a grip and stop being so defensive. PP just brought the earlier PP down to reality. No one said anything about Prep and Bullis being better than everyone else in the IAC, just that STA is not on the same level as poster was trying to say. Other IAC teams are far more competitive. And again, so good of you to try to bring the elitist "BRAIN-IAC" into the conversation, I am surprised you didn't try say how much more money or success the STA parents have than the other teams. Always try to make yourself feel better when you loose a game or conversation by telling yourself that your player is so much smarter than everyone else. Again, another delusion of STA parents.
Yet I'm not a STA parent. So it's okay to compare a lacrosse game score but not a SAT score to make assessment about same student athletes competitive ability in each respective setting. Let's just enjoy kids can play lacrosse this spring and not jump on someone's throat.
Honestly, what are you babbling about now? This is a lacrosse forum. Games can be publicly viewed and discussed. Statements can be made and people can agree or disagree. No one knows the respective SAT scores of students from one school over another. Why are you bringing that up in a lacrosse forum? What does that have to do with the price tea in China?
if you read the thread above "Always try to make yourself feel better when you loose a game or conversation by telling yourself that your player is so much smarter than everyone else. Again, another delusion of STA parents." I agree, no one really cares on a lacrosse thread about SAT scores which anyone can google in about 3 seconds.
