NP. I think part of the problem is that most people aren’t coming here for a “debate.” You seem to be itching to argue. If that’s what you want, start a thread in politics or off topic that explicitly asks for a debate. You’ll get better response from people who want to play in whatever game you’re trying to set up. Actually, if you read the entire thread with care, with you will see that plenty of people are coming here for a good faith debate about the merits or otherwise of a piece of American literature.

I don't apologize for taking exception to the comment "the problem with white people is...."

I'm sure you would be the first to jump on me if I wrote "the problem with black people is........[insert your favorite stereotype]"
