My current TPMS magnet 6th grader DC is attending various high-school math contest every week through their math club, including many prestigious ones. They are exposed to more opportunities to compete with some elite HS students nationally or internationally. So I have strong doubt whether this year's lucky ones can meet their predecessor's competition level on average. Thinking it the other way around, this year schools like Robert Frost, Hoover, Pyles can retain some of the outlier students. I hope their schools can provide more support to these students and provide more opportunities. [/quote]
