I know this because I’m not complaining about how hard and unfair things are and how everyone else sucks and is elitist etc. The fact is that I was not born with a silver spoon, but I worked hard and smart and now I can make things easier on my kid from an access perspective. I'm not sure what's funnier on this site, the number of people allegedly not affiliated with subject club, yet spend all day here defending it (Loudoun, FCV, VDA, and now McLean) or the obtuseness of posters like the one above who seems to think someone who is successful can't call the McLean spade a spade.   It's ok to be successful and to be happy about it, but don't pretend as though you and your DD, at McLean, haven't benefited from your privilege.  Accept both it and her lackluster talent for what they are and move on.   It's really the healthiest path forward for your narrow mind.[/quote]

Everything you just said was completely wrong. My DD does not play at McLean. I don’t enjoy pre-ordained privilege, I earned it, and if you haven’t figured it out, that’s how life works. You reap the harvest of your labor. My point is, once again, there is no point in bitching about other’s success and lot in life. Focus on yours. That’s it. You’ll end up much happier in life.
