She is basically a clever but dumb victim of her own inflated opinion of herself.  She has top-shelf credentials because they were always purchased for her.  But she has never had a real job, she faced a difficult personal medical circumstance, and she has nothing whatsoever to show for it.  She is noone's favorite any more, if she ever was (bear in mind that she thought she was everyone's favorite, for her entire life, until she took the job as paid obvious liar #1).  She should be angry.  She has made herself the national humiliating laughing-stock.
