Who has ever pretended that Stella was anything other than an average mass-market beer, though? Pretty sure everyone knows that, so this is hardly a controversial opinion (and no, I don't drink Stella - it falls in what I call the "crappy beer" category").[/quote]

I've seen plenty of people who love Stella and scoff at Coors, Miller, Bud...etc.  Same with skunky Heineken.  People think because it's made in Europe it's good.[/quote]

Or maybe they just like the taste of it. Some people like that type of beer (my FIL likes Miller Lite & Stella, while I think they are both disgusting). It doesn't mean they think it's fancy.[/quote]
