It’s because it is Black people first and foremost who are dying at the hands of police brutality. They are saying, police think black lives don’t matter, and we’re saying otherwise. When you respond All Lives Matter, it's the equivalent of a man going to a breast cancer march and saying “why aren’t you also marching for prostate cancer? All cancers matter!” Well yes, they do — but right now we’re talking about this one. So back to you — why do you feel like it is insulting to specifically focus on Black people right now?[/quote]
