He was on Howard Stern yesterday and said he hired Andy Cohen's nanny full-time and she takes care of the baby all day and she wakes up for the baby at night. It basically sounds like the kid is an accessory for him to brag about. Creepy.
I love Anderson but I agree with this. He seems very lost whenever someone mentions the baby and congratulates him, there is no this huge enthusiasm, tired new parent kind of thing but shinning with joy, there is something else.. something sad and lost. Now when I read about this this makes sense. This is how you DON"T bond with a new born baby. He really should take time off now and focus on a child. If he misses this precious time, it is never coming back. Nany however great is not a parent. He is. It is strange to see him on TV knowing that he has a newborn. Looks like wrong priories. At this point he is such a well established household name. We really won't forget the face in few months right? I respect him but I would respect him more if he would go back to the baby duties at this time.
I would bet he only works a few hours a day plus on the air time. I would also bet he gets up at night with the baby sometimes too. Anderson's daycare arrangements are no worse than the many on this board with nannies who work long hours and/or start the daycare life when the kid is a few weeks old.
