Anonymous wrote: Do these people have jobs? Go grocery shopping? I means dogs can’t go everyware. Service dogs can and it is very easy to designate a dog as a service animal.
People rampantly abuse the provision for emotional support animals which are not service animals. Its become a loophole for entitled pet owners to take their pets everywhere. In my family, it started with one entitled aunt bringing her dog everywhere because she was too cheap to board it. It is so small that it pees often and its far cheaper for her to take it with her if its more convenient for her to be out for many hours. She even insists on setting up pee pads for the dog inside the house of whomever is hosting. (We do not allow this either and she doesn't come to our home. )There are a few other relatives with small dogs and she strongly encouraged them to bring their dogs so what she was doing seemed more acceptable. On all RSVPs she included the dogs name. When she sent out a guest list she included the other people's dogs names. This has backfired on her because one of the younger and quite frankly stupid couples saw this and decided to being their poorly trained large dog too. Another young relative then started bringing their crazed large doodle. It basically ended the bring your dog allowance on this side of the family. The aunt who started it all is furious but after a fight between a large and small dog, small children getting nipped by both sizes and food being grabbed by dogs enough other older relatives said no more.
