Funny that you just happened to name only those that are primarily POC in the main roles. What about Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Maleficient (Sleeping Beauty)?[/quote]

Lion King is about ANIMALS, all ANIMALS.  The stuff that happens is more scary with more realistic animals.

The Aladdin thing is just that it's not as good as the animated version.  There were complainers about all the movies you cite above, but those are not as recent.

I am willing to suspend judgement (unlike the  PP you quoted) about The Little Mermaid until I actually see it.  The actress they have chosen has a wonderful voice, so I think she could be great.[/quote]
