I agree that everyone has different taste, what rubs me the wrong way is when people go on about "She is ugly/plain" instead of saying "in my opinion/I think she's ugly". When you make a whole paragraph explaining how unnattractive someone is as if it were universal truth, it will get somebody ticked off.[/quote]

Yes.  It was the nastiness and cattiness that was disturbing.  We all have different standards of beauty.  I also am perturbed that beauty seems to be the only standard these ppl think the Prince should have used to pick his wife!

He loves her and thinks she is beautiful and that is all that matters.  I remember when JFK JR got married there was vitriol against Carolyn Bessette and the media...saying she was ugly, etc..and then when she gained one pound on an already incredibly thin frame..ppl were calling her fat.
