That has to be very challenging for the teachers.[/quote] The older new students are from outside the U.S. but the little ones were born in this country. ESOL teacher here in the area and I know. I teach appr. 75 students and nearly all of the ones under age 8 were born here. The older ones are 50/50 and we have no way of knowing if they are illegal unless they share how they got here.
